Very affordable prices, amazing cocktails and one of the first times in London I enjoyed everything that I asked and my partner too. Great place for a date, very cozy but still quite modern, hip ambience. The food was incredible, especially the white chocolate baba ganoush is a MUST. We also ordered the kibbeh and the hummus, which were also very nice, and the aubergine which was alright. The dirty martini was also great, with a special mention to the olive which is worth another visit just for that.

Had such a lovely dinner for my friends bday at the counter on Friday night! The food was fantastic and super flavourful! Standouts from the menu for us were definitely the flat bread, white chocolate babaganoush, cheese saganaki and the cod skewers A few of the dishes we ordered were missed/mistaken but we only realised by the end of the meal and we were so happy with the food it didn’t affect our dinner. Would highly recommend trying out this please for some nice small plates to share amongst friends! We will be back for sure

Adana, saganaki and lamb tartare were my favorite dishes. I found the orzo dish very salty. But overall the food is great and prices are fair. They also have a space downstairs which is good for a private dinner/party.

Decided to visit The Counter based on Google reviews (thanks, fellow reviewers!). This restaurant is in the heart of Soho just off Regent Street. Given its location, the price can't be beaten. We were hoping the quality would be good too. And it was. Let's get into it... We arrived and the front of house apologised as, like a lot of restaurants, they are available to book on more than one booking platform. One of the platforms had had an error so they were overbooked. Still, she managed to put us in a wonderful corner table that was initially reserved for a large party and they had not used it. Thanks to the large party we were sitting next to. Although there were lots of them, they were not loud or rowdy and it was very easy to talk to my dinner companion across our table without raising my voice. Our waitress (a lovely Romanian girl), just like the front of house lady, was wonderful. She absolutely looked after us and was wonderful throughout our meal. The food tasted great and was good value for such a prominent location. We had: humus & medjool dates currant, sesame tahini, paprika oil - the sweetness of the dates complemented the paprika which was a new combination to me. prawns metaxa flamed prawns, tomato, lime zest, chives, garlic, parsley - absolutely gorgeous. saffron & crab orzo tomato, crab, chives, lime zest, samphire - WOW! Really enjoyed this. And look at the price! Totally worth it. Would I return? Yes, it's on the list. The only aspect that would prevent an earlier return is the fact there are so many restaurants I want to try.

Exceptional. Absolutely everything was a stand out. The service was fantastic, attentive, knowledgable and observant wait staff, the atmosphere - with outside seating and heaters and blankets -was spot on, and the drinks list was fantastic, a variety of great wines from a range of regions and a good cocktail list too (and well executed, unusual flavour combinations). But the food. THE FOOD! We were honestly shocked at HOW good the food was. This place is an understated gem, the chef is a genius, marrying flavours up in a seamless experience of elegant Turkish cuisine and the whole eating experience is fantastic. Go and dine here now before the rest of London realises how good this little spot is and they hike their (very reasonable) prices up!!!
